You elect a Board to express the will of the people. One half of Oak Creek whines when there is a working PD and the other half whines when there isn't. What other town business do you want to micro manage? Should they send out questionnaires for every employee or do you just want a say on the PD? Should they send out questionnaires for every decision they were elected to make or just the decisions you disagree with? You want “at least 2 public citizens from Oak Creek” on the review board, just where the hell do you think the Town Board came from and who do you think voted them in, aliens? A police commissioner is the immediate supervisor of the Chief which makes him/her the logical one to prepare a review. I have been in a management position where I was required to do a self review and my supervisors also received input from my co-workers and employees. No matter who does the review, the Board does not have to accept it so your outrage at the “mockery” doesn't hold water and you should not be trying to pass off your opinion as fact in “the eyes of the public”. Your last paragraph is a complete joke, even an accused murderer is allowed to face his/her accuser, if you want to cop bash at least have the “proof” to do it in public.
