Barney earns degree

from Stanford

Daniel Barney, son of Vicky and Patrick Barney and a member of the Steamboat Springs High School Class of 2004, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University on June 15. After a brief vacation in Thailand and summer training in New York City, Barney will work as an analyst with the Investment Banking Group of Merrill Lynch in Palo Alto, Calif.

Rifle Club, Three Quarter Circle host Fun Shoot

Routt County Rifle Club and Three Quarter Circle Sporting Clays hosts “Fun Shoot” at 9 a.m., Saturday at the rifle club range and 9 a.m., Sunday at Three Quarter Circle. The event includes four games and prizes for two-day participants. Cost is $40 each day. Barbecues follow each day’s events. Take something to grill and a potluck side dish.
