The proposed 70-acre Overlook Park subdivision begins immediately west of the West Acres Mobile Home Park and offers views of Soda Mountain. If approved, it could provide as many as 150 single-family building lots within the existing city limits.
Brett Denney, of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, grabs the poma lift for a ride up Howelsen Hill Friday. Once again this year, Howelsen is the first ski jump in North America to open. Athletes from Utah and Michigan have traveled here to use the facility.
The board of directors of the Yampa River Botanic Park is extending its fundraising efforts for the new Trillium House to reimburse the city and, in turn, its endowment fund.
Construction crews are installing granite countertops and hand-texturing walls at Trailhead Lodge this month. Mariana Ishida, development manager for Resort Ventures West, said the 86-unit condominium project is on schedule and on budget.
