Oh, White Collar Crime. We should have two prison systems. One for the good white people, and one for the other minorities.

Thank you for the link. It's refreshing to hear some logic now and then.
Now, let's go brainwash some kids before they have a chance to think on their own.

Rob, great article and well thought out reasoning. The people who have moved into Steamboat with the half empty mentality should move on to another town and try to poison their community. Steamboat needs more pro-active, positive thinking families wanting to contribute to our town.
They should have a check mark on applications asking if you are a half empty, half full kind of person. Who do you think would be hired?

What a crock. George W. Bush and his father will go down in history as the worst presidents in the United States but you die hard Republicans would never admit it. Keep trying to push the Iraq war going on for another 10 years and you will lose for sure.

I am very proud of the dedication and sacrifice of the Routt County Search and Rescue Team. There would be alot of uncomfortable people, long term injuries or deaths without the efforts of Search and Rescue.
The area owes a lot of gratitude to the team and their families.
Maybe an annual Search and Rescue Appreciation Day??

The parking garage was built in the early 80's and leased to the City a couple of years later for $1.00 a year. When Alan Barbee was City Council member and proposing a lift ticket tax, the Ski Corp decided to lease the garage to the City and give the City $100,000 annually; $25,000 went to garage maintenance, the other $75,000 for community gifts.
Last year, the Ski Corp decided it wanted the garage back for total control, so the City is out of the parking garage business for now.

I loved your story this morning. It made me realize what side of the fence I live in.

My sister in law was on the flight in 1978. Our first winter in Steamboat after moving here from Chicago. What a scary time for everyone involved and a tragedy for the two deaths. I remember hearing of the 8 month old baby at the time but did not recall the name.
Kudos, kudos, kudos to Dave Lindow and the Routt County Search and Rescue for their dedication and sacrifice to save those in need on a daily basis. I have never been so proud as to praise those that put their life in harms way to save others.
Thank you again.
And I'm glad to see that Matt turned out to be a great pilot also. How brave!
