Affordable housing is no excuse for substandard, unsafe housing in this community. So, do we let people live in boxes, in garages and under bridges in the same of “affordable housing.”
The City Council deffinitely needs to seriously revisit the issue of illegal residences and siginificantly step up code enforcement on every dwelling occuped by people to assure codes are being met.
IF the codes aren't being enforced why do we even have them????

I am very tired of the RE-2 School District greedily keeping all the money. There is no reason why it can't be shared, in equal thirds with RE1 and RE3. If that does not happen, I will not support continuation of this tax.
RE-2 has always been the wealthiest school district in Routt County. That they are so stingy with this money makes me sick!!

Tina is SO deserving of this award!! Being a social worker in a rural county is a very difficult job. Whether you are interviewing a child victim of abuse and neglect at 2 o”clock in the afternoon or 2 o”clock in the morning it is very stressful and anxiety provoking. NO matter how many times you do this work, every child victim is traumatized and so are you as a social worker.
Tina always has a smile, positive attitude and the utmost concern for every child and family she comes in contact with. She shows professionalizsm in every situation and acts with respect to the family in the best interests of the child.
Tina is a loving wife and mother of two small children. And to maintain a stable and happy home and family while working in a traumatic professional setting takes remarkable strength and commitment. Tina has those qualities!
How fortunate we are to have Tina in our county, dedicated to keeping our chidlren safe.

I have known Kelly and his family for the 34 years he has coached basketball. In addition to being a great coach, he has always been a totally devoted father to Katie, Aimee and Megan. He and Karen supported eveything their girls were involved in. I'm sure he is now a wonderful grandfather.
Kelly, enjoy your retirement with the knowledge of the many contributions you have made to Steamboat basketball, the fans and the young men you coached.

The way Caroline has been treated by the US Ski Team is just what they have always done, care more about the organization than the skiiers. For years the Ski Team has not shown athletes any respect or consideration. The Team does not support education, professional psychological assistance, does not have the decency to communicate directly with the athletes, ignores the parents of the athletes and the SKi Team just shows blatant disregarding for anything other than winning.
Caroline is a great athlete and she can be proud of her accomplishments!

What a way to honor your grandmother, Pasty Wilhelm, who was a great lady. And it seems little Cassie is on her way to being a great lady, too. Congratulations, Cassie.
You will see me next Saturday at your booth at the Farmer's Market buying jewelry at your stand!!
